  4. Regarding NPS accont Creation:

    Sir,
After installing service packs for meghdoot 6.6,will the account head for nps be automatically generated or do we have to create it explicitly? One of the offices which accepted nps transaction for the first time reported that the amount was not getting reflected in submit accounts at the end of the day. Please suggest a solution.

    Ans Given by PTC Mysore:

    sir,
execute the attached script using script tool after taking a backup of Treasury database.

if the accountheads are required for the current date execute the following:

    use treasury
    go
    update_megh66_accountheads

if the accountheads are required for a particular date:

    use treasury
    go
    update_megh66_accountheads_bydate 'ddmmyy'

in this ddmmyy explanation is as follows:

if the date is 16/04/2010 then it will be equal dd/mm/yyyy so the ddmmyy will be 160410. This can be applied to any date on the same analogy.

Download the attached script here .

  5. What is subscriber Scheme ID No. / Name of PFMs in Subscriber scheme details in Section D of Annexure S1 ?

In instructions for filling the PRAN FORM, it is written that the scheme details are available in the website http://www.npscra.nsdl.co.in.

But that page is not working currently. When the details are available we will update it in the blog.

The subscriber Scheme details (Section D of Annexure S1 ) is not mandatory. So you can omit that section when filling up the form.

  26. Hi, I am state govt employee in AP, joined in 1988. Am I eligible to invest in NPS to avail tax benefit under 80 CCD?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dear Sir

My father is Regional rural bank employee and his age is 59 Years. In RRBs there is no pension and he joined in 1981 so there was not any provision for NPS. He wishes to invest in NPS for the purpose of tax savings and future security. Regarding this I want to clarify some doubts:

1.) His age is 59 years. So can he invest in NPS?

2.) He is govt. employee so is it allowed for a govt. employee to open individual NPS account like private sector employed individuals.

3.) If yes, then if he invest 1.5 lakh this year and wish to withdraw the same next year after his retirement, then is it possible to withdraw this 1.5 Lakh as whole?

4.) Will it be allowed to close this account in a year?

I will be grateful to you for your suggestions and guideline.

    Regards,
    Smita

  30. Hi,
My employer started NPS from Oct'16 and our salary is now restructured to make 10% of basic as employer contribution to NPS. The deductions and corresponding contribution has started happening from Nov'16.

My query is, can the employer make the deduction and contribution from Apr'16 retrospectively. Will there be any issues.

    Regards
    -Sathish
